Broadcasting UDP/IP packets
If you wish to broadcast serial data to the local segment on your LAN via UDP/IP, you need to configure a valid Gateway IP Address.

Ping device

Example: The IP Address of my PocketPAD is 192.168.2.218 with a Subnet Mask of 255.255.248.0. My Gateway IP Address is 192.168.1.1. Setting this Gateway IP Address on the PocketPAD allows me to broadcast packets over UDP/IP.
