E-MAN L-U V2.03 SETUP
Configure the [
Communication Settings] to reflect the parameters set in Serial IP. Take note of the Virtual COM Port used and the Serial Port parameters set on the EtherPAD. Two options for connecting the Enermax are available (Serial cable or via Optical Transceiver). Some versions may not have both.
[
Retrieve Meter Setup] to get the Enermax meter details.
NOTE: Communication was unsuccessful at 9600 baud using the "Direct to Computer RS232/485" connection setting. Set the "Logon baud rate" to "2400".
The Enermax meter authenticates at 300 baud rate (optical head), and thereafter adjusts to the parameter set in the Communications Setup (Optimal being 9600). With the Telnet Redirector (RFC2217) enabled, the EtherPAD will automatically adjust its baud rate to that of the data being sent.
Once Authentication passes, the configuration on the Enermax meter is downloaded to the PC.
You will be able to observe the data being passed via the Serial Ports on your COM Port Redirector Port Monitor.
