SAN People is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a development grant of R 1 500 000 by the Support Programme for
Industrial Innovation.
This programme is operated by the Department of Trade and Industry and administered by the Industrial Development Corporation of
SA Ltd. The Matching Scheme Evaluation Panel of the fund has made the award following a support application made by SAN People to
enable it to develop a new generation highly customisable device management and monitoring platform.
Henry de Ruyter, Managing Director of SAN People said that this grant will not only provide the resources necessary to enable the
company to complete its SANARM development project, but greatly enhance the resulting product’s time-to-market.
The SANARM project was initiated by SAN People’s Marketing Department in response to new product opportunities becoming available
by a new generation of ARM processors, developed to facilitate an ever increasing array of networking and telecoms applications.
The company’s development engineers have exploited these opportunities by developing a range of highly customisable device management
and monitoring products.
These products are designed to provide Original Equipment Manufacturers and large industrial end users alike with solutions to effect
substantial cost savings by improved remote power monitoring and management capabilities.
The SANARM’s powerful and versatile capabilities are highly customisable. SAN People’s in-house developed SANscript scripting language
will enable other technical users to employ these capabilities by writing their own custom applications with relative ease.
