The E88 is an entry-level product. It is a compact stand-alone device with an external power supply. It has an Ethernet and one serial interface and connects asynchronous serial devices to Ethernet networks.

The E88 is also available as an OEM module, E88MOD. E88MODs can be incorporated into customer products, offering Ethernet (10Base-T or 10Base-2) connectivity to a serial line interface (RS232/RS422/RS485). All LED interface circuitry required for the E88 is supported on the module. All signals are at TTL levels.
