Security Innovation AS, implementers of access control solutions, is using the SAN People SNMP EtherMOD within their card encoder products. The card
encoders are primarily used in the hotel industry for making keycards for door locks. The encoder is essentially a serial product on its own, but
using the EtherMOD, Security Innovation AS was able to connect their encoders via a hotels' Ethernet network.
The SAN People EtherMOD allows OEM's the opportunity to fully integrate the Serial-to-Ethernet functionality of the EtherPAD into their existing
products.
Together with the obvious design considerations; the EtherMOD has been successfully integrated into many diverse OEM devices.
SAN People provide a developers kit to enable users and system developers to easily integrate our OEM EtherMOD into their designs.
